RIF's Department of Macroeconomic Research sets the fund's investment framework at the beginning of each semester, which analysts then use to inform their pitch thesis. The fund  primarily focuses on the next twelve months of the American economy, but Senior Analysts also produce outlooks on countries across the globe. Additionally, a select group of Senior Analysts periodically writes articles about an economic or financial topic of their choice. These articles reflect the opinion of the analyst and bear no impact on the investment strategy of the fund.
